Assistant Manager - Client Accountant
As part of our continuous expansion within the Business Process
Solutions team, we are recruiting an Assistant Manager Client
Accounting. Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Manager will
play an important role in our team as they will be leading a team of
Associates responsible for a portfolio of local and international
clients.
Main responsibilities:
• Managing a diverse client portfolio resulting in high quality
service delivery and within agreed timeframes as agreed with our
clients
• Oversee the work relating to bookkeeping, reconciliations,
preparation of periodic management accounts, VAT returns, tax
returns and other related ad hoc work required as prepared by the
team members
• Providing guidance and feedback to respective team members, of
around 5 to 7 Associates
• Participate in the planning and coordinating of team resources
to ensure optimum allocation and utilization of resources
• Optimise all opportunities for efficiency gains resulting from
the streamlining of business processes across client files supported
by the utilisation of automation and other process improvements
tools
• Timely preparation of all relevant billing matters and ensuring
that all assignments are delivered within appropriate budget
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working within a similar
outsourcing environment
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, M. Accty. (Melit.) or
equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge
• Proven experience with recognised accounting packages and
Microsoft Excel
• Any experience of managing a team would be considered an
asset
• Ability to work on own initiative whilst also guiding other team
members
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Positive and having a problem-solving approach
