LAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLANNER
Overview:
You will play an essential role in site design for our upcoming
development projects, contributing to the continued success of our
business. You will work with the Dealmakers, Development Directors
and Development Associates to facilitate a wide variety of
activities associated with land planning, technical drawings, due
diligence and entitlements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Bachelor's degree in planning, landscape architecture,
engineering, environmental science, or a related field; Master's
degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience with land use or
environmental planning, urban design, real estate development,
community/economic development, and/or permitting.
• Be a strong writer with a curious intellect.
• Experience in a consulting environment a plus!
• Ability to work comfortably as a project manager within a team
environment.
• Sound technical capabilities and organizational and
problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and visual communication skills.
• Well-developed analytical abilities and impeccable writing
skills.
• Growing knowledge of the philosophies, principles, practices,
and techniques of land use planning.
• Strong computer skills in Autodesk Civil 3D, Microsoft Outlook,
Word, Excel, PowerPoint; scheduling software such as MS Project,
Primavera, or other Ability to work independently and under
supervision of a project manager and collaboratively managing
others.
Education & Experience:
• College graduate, with degree in engineering, Landscape
Architecture, Real Estate or urban Planning, construction or
similar.
• Knowledge of land/site planning process
• Proficient in AutoCAD C3D, and Photoshop software; or other
applicable software preferred
• Manage competing demands while maintaining quality work
product
• At least 7 years of experience in land development or Project
Planning.

• Possess good judgement and common sense.
• Ability to navigate all stages of the Land Development
process
Technical Knowledge & Experience:
• Experience managing multiple trades, collaborating with legal,
and coordinating with municipalities to see projects through to
completion.
• Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Management
• Knowledge of job site safety.
Physical Requirements:
• Construction sites where temperature, weather and noise may
vary; may encounter electrical, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous
machinery and moving objects and toxic conditions.
• The working environment is subject to pressure for multiple
calls, inquiries, and interruptions.
• Hearing: perceiving the nature of sound by ear.
• Mental Demands: mathematical reasoning, memorization, oral
comprehension, spatial orientation, and written comprehension.
• Sitting: remaining in the normal seated position.
• Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken
words.
• Vision Near acuity: ability to see clearly at 50 m or less
• Position may require flexible work hours and some travel.
