    Hi,

If you live in Greece or are planning to move and made already some research you can help in sharing your experience.

What is the best way to find a job in Greece? Is it better to go there on holiday and search? Do you register on some website? Do you use recruitment agencies in Greece?

Finding a job in Greece is almost impossible if you don't speak Greek fluently.Lately, there is a great demand for sellers via telephone.(they do phone calls to telephones and try sell telephone, Internet or even health insurance cards. But you must speak fluently Greek (you will talk with Greeks on the phone for 6 hours/day) and salaries are quite low (300-500 euros/month+bonus of contracts that you sell). If you are an English native speaker, you can find a work as an English teacher in a summer camp or in a frontistirio (private foreign languages teahing centre). There is also a great demand of Nowegian/Swedish teachers (many Greeks immigrate in Scandinavia and they want to learn the language before they leave Greece!)If you speak Bulgarian, you could find a job as a translator in a company which has brunches or factories in Bulgaria. With the new tax change, many companies leaved Greece to go to Bulgaria.

Yeah, the economic situation is really depressing.Tourism bussiness is quite developed in Greece. If you speak Russian, you can easily find a summer job in Chalikidiki, and if you speak fluently Croatian/Slovakian/Bulgarian,you could work as a shop assistant or a waiter/tress in Thassos, while if you speak Italian, then the Ionian islands is the perfect work destination. But these jobs are only for summer and they are often familly bussinesses,so their kids work sometimes there in summer, and there aren't many work opportunities for foreigners.
