Hi, I'm wondering if it's at all possible to obtain EU citizenship on the grounds that your ancestors are from the EU? My mother's parents were born in Finland and came to the US when they were in their early 20's and my fathers parents are from Ireland.

Just curious if that's at all possible (sigh).

    Thanks!

Irish parents will be your best shot at citizenship.
    Give more details.

"A new Finish Nationality Act comes into force in 2003. It allows multiple citizenship. Finnish citizens will no longer lose their Finnish citizenship when they assume another citizenship. Similarly, foreign citizens who are granted Finnish citizenship will not need to give up their present citizenship"
