Hi All.
I searched the forums, but could not find an answer for this. Here is my situation.
My wife and I moved to Warsaw in April from the US.
We have been married ten years.
She has Polish and American citizenship.
I have American citizenship.
I have a Karta Pobytu, (temporary residence) good for one year.
I have a PESEL. I have a NIP. I have a meldunek.
Do I still need a work permit, or am I eligible to work now?
I have one offer to teach English as a native speaker, but this school thinks I still need a work permit.
Another school says I can work immediately under an Umowa O Dziel agreement where they withhold taxes, but not ZUS from my pay. This seems like the best option for me.
So, do I need a work permit, or not?
I see different answers to this question online, so thought someone here could give me the final word.
Thanks!
