With Joe Biden now president elect, we would like to take the opportunity to consider the changes (or status-quo) that might occur for U.S. expatriates.
In this article, we will see the issues raised by Americans abroad, the pledges made in the Democratic party manifesto, the address from Joe Biden to the U.S. expat community, and the impact of some tax rise that might occur (spoiler: not much!): Biden President: What it means for Americans abroad

I don’t believe that business as usual is a good thing for expats and the fact that any tax increases “shouldn’t” impact US citizens abroad is neither a good assumption to make nor something that should be celebrated. We need to DEMAND better from our government.

I agree that there are many areas available for improvement and that is the reason why you must have found Biden's letter quite disappointing, not addressing any specific concern raised by Americans abroad.
