    All,
my case seems biologically easy: I'm just pregnant BUT (and there is always a but...) I'm currently on an expatriation in the US.

My health insurance is a "long time abroad" healthinsurance

    I have questions around:
    - If I give birth in GE would then the "long time abroad" healthinsurance cover this
    - am I eligible for "Mutterschutzgeld"
    - will my "home base salary/Schattengehalt" be the base for the assesment of "Elterngeld"
    - is there a difference if I get the baby in the US or I go back earlier to Germany?

Sorry, I think it's very complicated, but if someone can already answer parts of this I would be happy.

Note: It's me working abroad, not my husband!! I think this is unusual on top :)
