    Hello,

i applied for the eea2 card one month ago, but it was returned two weeks ago because i had to send more supporting documents (insurance document). I took out a policy shortly after i got that letter, but the insurance company (axa) is taking ages to send the policy documents to me and my eea family permit expired 7 days ago.

Will they refuse my eea2 application because my eea fp expired recently? Will they refuse my application because i hadn't taken out the policy earlier?

I think the answer to the second question is "no", because i found out i needed insurance cover the day after applying and i called the ho to ask whether i had to take out a policy asap and they said "don't do anything until you receive a letter from us"... But i'd love to know whether, in practice, it does affect the application?

    Thanks in advance.

No, it will not affect the application unless the Home Office has specifically mentioned so in their communication even though you should have known that you need the comprehensive health insurance ( when your spouse is a student or self-sufficient ).

Get back to them without any delay.

    Good luck
