Good Day to u all in the house.....I only joined today after quite a while studying develpment on questions and Answers, problems and Solutions. I really need someone's advise even though there had been a lot said here.
I'm an Irish born to Nigerian parents and about getting married to my Nigerian Fiancee in Nigeria and afterwards applying for his EEA Family Permit to travel with me.

Have a little problem though. My Fiancee was denied entry to UK three years ago cos of some irregularities on his passport which was as a result of the agency he used to apply for the Visa and i have been in the uk for two Years and have gone to see him twice now, The second time was when he proposed to me and that was the 14th of February.

I need your advise on what to do when we get to the embassy as we don't even write e-mails but always on the phone to each other. He is my life, I love him and need him here with me.

Would really appreciate your advise. Thank You.

Its irelevant that he was denied entry.Family permit should be granted.
Family permit can be refused thought if there is suspicion that is marriage of convenience.

Thanks Triple H for your response....I'm well confident of going to the embassy with my fiancee to prove our relationship to be genuine. If we don't have any problem with his been refused earlier, then other isuues will be no problem.

If you think there's anything more i have to do to prove our relationship, then you can pls advise more on wat we should do to prove the relationship is genuine.

Once again, thanks for your response and hope to her from you soon.

Hi mate... Just would like to advise you to be very caqreful and cautious in proving that ur relation is genuine. Things have changed recently after the expansion of EU. EEA family permits do get refused more often than ever before 'coz the british embassies are giving a reason "MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE " in most of refusals and this is such a hard reason that takes a lot to rectify later...

    Read this

    www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/.../edis.Main ... .file.tmp/ CHAPTER%2010%202005%20-%20website.pdf

    If the applicant is

    a) Overstayer
    b) Illegal entrant
    c)a failed asyulm seeker
    d)someone who has been refused leave to remain or enter;
    e) the subject of deportation order

In that case, the case gets looked at very carefully and things could go a bit hard but again it all depends upon proving that the relation is genuine.

But i wish you goodluck for ur application. Hope u gets united with ur partner soon.

but i was reading Ind DUE reply about - anyone with refusal leave to entry- get it harder, and that link that he provided is gone on the IND website.
as my fiance has refusal to remain.
i Suppose, its up to them, i know BHC Kingston are really tough

if we do get refused, whats our appeal options- way we do it and how long?

    I answered here.

The best thing is to prepare everything as suggested to indidude. At this moment in time you can not contemplate refusal.I can only give advise to people and they can prepare all the documents and forms needed.
What happens in particular embassy is out of our control and nobody can predict the outcome.
But if your application is refused ,you should be given letter explaining why.
    Appeal follows after that.
