I am a Caribbean National, married to a EEA citizen (France) for the past 12 years. We are a happily married couple with 2 fantastic daughters aged 2 and 9. Both of them have EEA Passports.

We are planning to migrate to the UK for the betterment of our children. What are our rights and what should we do to get through?

    Thanks for your prompt response

Is ithe family permit for me because I am thinking that my wife will not need it because she is a EEA citizen. Am I right?

Once I get it from the British Embassy of my country it will last for how long?

When I reach in the UK what are our first steps ...looking for a NIN or get a job first?

I may be the first one to work first since my wife would like to ensure that our daughters settled in the school. Will I have trouble to get a job being a Non EEA citizen but married to one?

I am also concerned about our rights. Do we have free movememnts even we do not hold a job in the initial 3 months.

Am I in the same boat like the people who need a Worker Registration Scheme, to wait 12 months to gain freemovements?

Please highlight me as these are very important for me to make important life decisions?

Explain to me how a Non EEA Citizen with a family permit can open a Bank Account?

Or can a EEA citizen open a bank account?

    What are the requirements?

What are required to rent a flat/house for an EEA Citizen and spouse non EEA citizen? I mean a proof to reside to the Company?

Will really need some answers to such querries

    Please answer each one...

Can somebody give me an idea how the application of a family permit and the interview are being coducted in the British Embassy? What are the required document that I need to present? Must my wife be present with me ?

Please highlight me also how long after I get the Family permit stamped in my passport can I travel to the UK? I intend to acquire one in a couple of months but with a view to go to the UK in a year's time?
