Hello,

I am Bulgarian living in Spain since 2005. I' ve got my NIE Certificate with right to live and my empadronamiento certificate in the City Hall the same year - 2005 But I have had my EU Citizen Registration Certificate in 2007 (which was something new that year for all european living in Spain )with right to live and work indefinitely as my social security number and health card. Although I have an European nationality I'd like to get the Spanish Citizenship. Therefore am looking to learn how long will it take to receive Spanish Citizenship being already an EU Citizen with full rights in Spain.? Is there any special and restrictive procedure for BULGARIANS in this matter and should we wait for 10 years as the rest of the NON EU RESIDENTS ?????? I was wondering, how this process would be different for an EU citizen and specially for bulgarians.
