Problem : Student NIE IRPF / Problème : Etudiant nie irpf

Hi guys, how are you doing ?

I'm posting this 'cause I'm a bit in troubles :

I'm French, Student and I'm doing an internship in a big french firm close to Barcelona.
I've been paid for my 1st month but the amount is 24% less that the one I expected...
I've been told that getting the NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjeros) could cancel this 24% tax, but the HR Manager of my company tells me it´s wrong...

Can someone explain me how it works ? A link to the website of any official institution would be fantastic !
