Postby Mathilde F » Thu Jan 08, 2004 10:03 pm

Hi,
I'm a french girl living in Paris. I'm 24 and I would be very happy to meet someone who speaks english.
We could do an exchange of conversation french/english. I have been in England for one year for my studies, and I would like to go on speaking.

If you want to improve your french or just meet people in Paris, please contact me.

bye bye
Mathilde

I am a 55 year old Englishman and will be living in Paris from March 28 until April 9 whilst I attend a French language school. I am seeking French conversation in the evening after school. I will buy dinner if you can help me with my homework. I am equally happy to help improve your English.

Salut mathilde,

voici paul, merci pour la response.

(Vous deja connais)
As you already know I am Irish.

A bientot.

Paul

(If you find i'm making any mistakes let me know. I know alot of french but i can find it difficult to put sentences together as sometimes ot doesn't follow the same pattern as in english.)

I was bored, so I thought I'd correct your French :-)

(you'd also say "sortir le soir" as opposed to "sortir dans le soir" :-) ).

(the order somehow matters here)

This one's perfect. Just lacks a couple of accents (you can do them by pressing the "Alt Gr" key and the "e" key at the same time).

To do the other accents, it's a bit trickier, but roughly, you need to install the american keyboard driver for windows. and you can then use some magic combos, as in Street Fighter 2.
[Ctrl] + [,] and then [c] will do the c cedille.
[Ctrl] + [`] and then [a] will do the a with a grave accent.
And the same with ['] and [^] to do the 2 other accents.

The end-level boss it quite tricky though. :-)
