Moving to Belgium

Postby Tania63 » Sun Feb 22, 2004 6:25 pm

Hi there,
I am moving back to Belgium (I am Belgian, by the way) after 7 years in Chicago. I have been getting quotes from international movers and it's outrageous!!! :oh:
I am not moving furniture. At best there will be +/- 10 boxes containing books (heavy, I know), clothing, maybe some kitchen stuff and some artwork. None of my stuff is really valuable, but it all has sentimental value to me.
I was wondering if there is anyone who has suggestions for moving my stuff from Chicago to Brussels.
I have looked into the USPS and that seems more affordable but I don't know if I trust them...
Any kind of advice or suggestion is welcome...

Thank you
Tania

I was able to find NY Intl Shipping company who are willing to ship 25 big boxes for about $1200. I know its a lot. But they bring their own boxes, pack for you and deliver it directly to your residence in BE. I am pretty sure they have this service in Chicago.

Check them out!
