This is the first time i came to China, but it seems that i can do almost nothing without a vpn. I don't want to buy one bec i just stay here for two weeks. Would you give me one free account and tell me how to download the vpn software?
why not stay in China for more time.Chinese people are friendly.Almost all the foreigners are annoying for can not access to facebook in China. They have to find a vpn then they can access.I am using flyvpn. there you can get free account.Firstly you must download this program on the offical website. Then you need input the account. You can have the free vpn.I think it will be enough to you for one hour per day.Good experience in China.
Thanks for your share.I have tried. It is simple and convenient.so i am using flyvpn. It is providing USA VPN,KOREA VPN,JAPAN VPN,HK VPN and so on.It also can be set up at iphone, mac, android .etc.
Er, great messages... who really look like adverts for flyvpn! How do we see it? Easy: posting only 1 message with a link (or just a question and then a colleague is posting the link) and never coming back again! :x
i have thought to post a question on employee ensurance this time, while maybe i came to a wrong place.
Indeed, posting this question in a topic about accessing Facebook in China is definitely the wrong place...
If you need to access Facebook in China, you can try using a secure web based proxy service such as Securitales or HideMyAss. There are plenty of other options you can find, but in any case, make sure that the service you choose is working over https and not just http. I have heard good things about Securitales but I recommend that you check their free trial before you signup, just to make sure that they work in your area. Hidemyass are also very famous, but they do not have a free trial.
Thanks for the advice, abaker. It seems that all foreigners (and probably many others too) are using proxys to access the Internet when they are located in China. To have a few good addresses to get reliable ones is definitely an asset
Many ways. For techies: 1. Setup your own VPN server. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/ ... -with-pptp 2. Setup go-agent. http://www.goagent.org/ Otherwise, buy a VPN account. Plenty around: astrill.com, strongvpn.com, senvpn.com, etc etc.
There are several ways to access Facebook in China. First you have to decide whether or not you want to use a China proxy or a VPN. This post explains the difference between proxies and VPN's http://how-to-access-facebook-in-china.quora.com If you want you can also use the free trial and see if it works well for you.
There are a few ways to access Facebook in China. Your choice may depends on whether ot not youre a technical person. I'm not and so using a proxy service has been the simplest way for me. You can use a VPN, TOR or a Proxy service. What the proxy does is changes your IP address so that you are surfing the internet from a different location, a location where it is possible to access Facebook and unblock YouTube, etc. You can do a google search and you can also read up about the internet censorship here http://unblock-proxy.co/how-to-access-facebook-in-china Wiki also has some helpful information.
Best not to use a proxy as it is insecure and unless the site you visit uses HTTPS, everything you type, send and receive can be read by the proxy server. Better use a VPN. Try http://senvpn.com
I thought that all expats in China/Hong Kong were using a VPN anyway to avoid the censure on the Chinese Internet?
If you want to access Facebook, please don't SendVPN or GoAgent. They are unreliable. Check out this list of up-to-date reliable VPNs: http://greyocder.com/china
I would also recommend hide my ass. That's what I've been using since I got here in China and haven't encounter any problems about it yet.
Hi, use the free trial at senvpn.net. 300Mb traffic limit, may just be sufficient for 2 weeks if all you do is a bit of FB and Tweets!
I don't prefer using free VPN service it is not a reliable service provider, it will slow down your connection, annoying ads and malware. so i can recommend you a reasonably priced VPN account http://www.vpnfaqs.com/2014/11/china-vpn-service-provider/ with 9.99$/month on more than one device.
In China, it is very common to use VPN if you want to access Social websites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. I have found the very useful link in Reviewsdir(dot)com about how to access facebook and blocked sites in China. https://www.reviewsdir.com/blog/best-china-vpn/
