Hi!
I'm a German national married to a Canadian citizen living in the U.K. I'm already working here, and also have my EEA1 residence permit. My husband is in canada, waiting for his EEA family permit. We plan on living and working here for 3-4 years.
My questions are:

1) Does he need to have a job (i.e. send proof of employment, wage slips), if he wants to apply for an EEA2 residence document?

2) When he comes back to UK on an EEA family permit, are employers likely to employ him without an N.I. number? Can they give him a temporary one?

This question is based on me reading that in order to get a National Insurance number you need to have a letter from the employer? If not, is there any other way he can obtain an N.I. number?
