To set-up an internet connection, Sri Lanka has over 15 service providers to choose from. You need to be over 18 years of age, show a proof of residence and a copy of your passport, with a valid visa.

Certain combination packages work out to be value for money, as they secure an Internet connection plus TV. Hence, shopping around might be needed to get what you are looking for.

In case you do not need too much Internet connectivity, you could opt for a dongle or use mobile Internet. Then, again, you can always access Internet facilities at the Internet café nearest to you!
