    EEA2 Delay - Advice please

    Hi!

My husband, a Dutch national, filed an EEA2 application for me at the end of August 2008. The EEA1 and EEA2 applications were filed jointly, but to this day I have still not received a CoA. I just sent a second letter trying to get it, my first one went unanswered. My husbands EEA1 permit came back at the beginning of January 2009, but I am still waiting.

I have to travel for work which is usually ok, but this last time I came through the immigration officer was not sympathetic whatsoever. He detained me and even told me that it was MY fault that his govt took over the legal time to process my application and that I will have to leave the country. He put a stamp in my passport that gives me 6 months to "get out" with no recourse to public funds. I am livid!!!

I have filed 2 complaints with UKBA with no response. My solicitors have been ineffective in getting through to them either. They keep saying that they are currently processing May 2008 applications. I just recently contacted Solvit and if that doesn''t work then I will go to my MP.

Does anyone have any additional advice on complaints? When I lived in the Netherlands there was a government agency ombudsman that handled these cases and it was VERY effective. From what I can tell there is no such system here in the UK?

Any advice would be great as this whole process was supposed to be easier than the HSMP and its turning into a complete nightmare!

    Thanks!
