    We are trying to track down a certificate of non military service from the US military for my grandfather. So far, no luck. All the agencies, websites and offices we get to say they don't know what we're talking about... anybody here been down that road? How did you get such a formal letter or certificate? Who exactly did you contact? Any tips or advice much appreciated!

    I just did a quick search and found information on Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act (SCRA) Certificates. Apparently these certify service or non-service under the Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act of 2003.
