Hi all

I plan to visit Georges Town next summer.

Is it easy to retrieve someone in Georges Town ?
or should I ask a private for this purpose ?

I'm afraid that while I don't know, I think I may know someone who does. Gordon Barlow runs an expat blog for Cayman Islands and seems like quite the expert. You can reach out to him in the forum, or once you have commented in the forum a bit you can use the network (this is to prevent spam).

Yep, This is it!

I will visit George Town, on July, from the Friday 19/07 until Friday 26/07/2013
I found a cheap hotel, this is the Treasure island resort. Not too far from downtown

If you had to share some strong advises w/ me, like about bus lines to go to Omega Bay in example or where to dive, it will be great

JY. I had to look Omega Bay up on the map; I'd never heard of it. It seems to be a new residential development; it's not a bay, at all. The only reason you would want to go there is to check out a piece of land you were thinking of buying. There is no bus, except along the main road along the south side of the Island; it would be about a 2 km walk to Omega Bay from there. From Treasure Island you would need to take a bus into the depot in town, and catch another one from there to the east. They will tell you at the hotel. Treasure Island probably has a scuba operator on the premises, as most of the hotels have.

If you want another one, just tell me (I have one with palm trees if you want) or if you still do not want anything, fine, we remove it.

But the point of the forum should be that questions and answers are public (if not very personal of course); that way it helps also other visitors with similar questions and that how you share knowledge.

Also, which currency should I bring ni Cayman ? GBP ? EURO ? $ ?

I can bring US dollars, but I am not sure, if could be simpler to bring Euros. What do you suggest as the best ?
