    Hi everyone,

I am very likely to move from France to Beijing for a 2-3 years starting February 2010.

I have just graduated from university so I don't have a whole house to move to the other side of world.
However, I still have some stuff that could easily go over the allowed 20kg for luggage allowance.

I know some airlines are more flexible about luggage allowance than others (special deals for students studying abroad or for volunteers bringing material etc).
So, does anyone knows about any airlines doing a special slightly increased allowance for moving out purposes? Or just any airline that has a particularly inflated luggage allowance?

I am planning to flight in the economy class (as I said I was a student not such a long time ago) but I am willing to consider any other classes if they have unbeatable luggage allowance offers.

    Thank you,

    Sophie

The only way to find out about extra luggage allowance and any discounts available is to contact the airline DIRECTLY.

Remember not to believe the travel agency ( if you are buying ticket through one ) or the websites of airlines because the check-in staff might tell you something totally different - in the negative sense I mean - from what you will know from the sites. ( I ended up throwing my clothes in the bin at the airport after the check in staff of Wizz Air refused to check in my extra luggage even though I had paid for it when buying the ticket online and it was mentioned on the e-Ticket I had printed out ).

Choose the airline you want to travel with first and then contact them directly to ask about extra luggage. As far as I know, extra luggage allowance has nothing to do with the class you travel in.

    Good luck

As i know there is not any airlines allowed to bring big luggage. You should pay extra fee for carriage service fee with extra voloumes of luggage
