    Hi,

    I'm looking for an Italian solicitor to take care of my citizenship via maternal side. My grandfather was born before 1948, which means, I'll have to go to court to acquire it.

    I'm living in Brazil at the moment.

    I have used Luigi Paiano, in the city of Bologna, but my case did not involve going to court. He speaks reasonably good Portuguese and Spanish.
    Just to clarify, before the new Italian costitution of 1948, only children of Italian father were Italian at birth. For those born in 1948 or after, the children of an Italian father OR mother are Italian at borth.

    Thank you so much for your help. I'll check it.

    My grandfather was born in 1932, that's the reason why I'll have to go to court. I had given up, but then I heard people saying that it's possible to acquire it, but only through court. It's pricey, but worth it.

    What about your case?
