    Hey,

I would like to know whether our situtation permits my wife-to-be and me to live and work in the UK.

My (Terence)nationality : Indian, Non EU CITIZEN, Multiple Schengen Entry Visa valid for 3 yrs (untill July '14) - currently in Mumbai

My (Judy) Fiance: Hungarian, EU Ctizen - currently in London

Date we first met 13 August 2010, Shillong, North East India on a church mission trip.

I have completed my MBA Intl Business from London School of Commerce, London Bridge and have stayed and worked part time worked in London from Oct '08 - April '10.

Judy has been in London from Jan 2011 - till date. We plan on getting married in Jan 2012.

    Q.

    1) Where do you suggest we get Court and church married, Mumbai or Budapest.

    2) I do understand the UK Family Permit regulations for EEA members (UKBA.com). However would it be too early to us to move in feb/mar 2012, as we are getting married in Jan 2012

Reason being: Im being adviced that it may be to early to move to UK, as our case may not weigh much, if we are applying from the Indian Uk EMbassy, Im being advised to head to Hungary, post marriage, apply for EU work permit and then apply for UK Family permit.

    would really appreciate ur advice.

    God Bless,

    Terence

In the FAQ section for departures, there are guides for basic types of visa.

In addition, EasyExpat's London guide can offer you information about moving to the UK. This guide is currently being updated, so you may also want to look at the Edinburgh's section on visas.

If you have feedback on the guide we would love to hear it. :D Is there any information you need that is not given?

Your Indian MArriage Certificate is a legal document and will be accepted in any embassy, as long as the embassy's main language is english, and your document is in english, else it needs to be translated, certified and notarised.

Irrespective of what your brother in law does for a living, you just need to mention that you will be living with him intially upon arrival while you scout the area for a more permanent arrangement.
