Hello,

This is my first post to your forum.. so Hello everyone! I have been involved with a gentleman from the UK for over 2 years now. We have met twice (both times in the UK), first time for 2 weeks and the second time was for 6 months. While over in the UK I tried to apply for a visa so that I could stay there and spare the expense of coming back home to the USA, but found out quite quickly that you can not apply for any visa's whilst in the UK. Our intentions are to be married when I return to the UK with my fiancee visa. The question I have is, I am currently doing the online form since that is the only one available to me. I have read in several different places that if I make an appointment to get my biometerics done and once I have achieved this, that I can go to the UK Consolute in Washington DC with my support documents and get my visa in the same day. This would be a great help to me since I plan to return to the UK by the first of November and I would hate to get my hopes up. I am willing to gather all the appropriate information necessary and I am willing to set up an appointment to get my visa in the same day. Does anyone know if this is a possibility?? I would appreciate any advice anyone can give me on this, as I have racked my brains out trying to do this the correct way. Has anyone recently gone through this who can shed some light on to what the procedure actually is? Thanks again
