I have come to UK as a Fiancee of an EEA citizen, my fiance visa finished on June 15th. We got married on June 11th in UK. I haven't still filed for EEA2 RC and intending to do it next week. My first question is if my stay in UK for this period (between the time of marriage to EEA2 filing) is legal.

My second question is if I can send my husband's National Identity card ( Italian) , or a certified copy of his passport along EEA2 instead of the original passport, since he needs to travel a few times while my application is being processed.

    Thanks a lot,

    hi

1). YES, of course your stay is now legal. From the moment you have married your husband, EEA national, you have right to reside and work in the member state, UK. You only need Residence card in order to avoid fuss with the employers and immigration officers on the boarders.

2). Yes, ID CARD of the EEA national would be JUST ENOUGH! Only make sure it is valid( not expired) . You can also make a copy of his passport , explaining in the cover letter that your husband would need the passport for the business trips or any other purposes.

I have applied with the Greek id card, and they have accepted it.
