Hi,

I am marrying my pakistani fiance next year. I am a british girl and want to know some info about what to expect when applying for spousa visa.

First of all, say we are already married and i'm in the uk and he is still in pakistan, who needs to apply for the visa? im assuming its him who applies? what's my involvement? Do i need to send him payslips and other relevant documents? If somebody could just sum up the procedure i would be grateful.

Also, i read or heard that we need to show evidence that its a genuine relationship. I don't have any pictures of me and my future husband (we'd only have the wedding ones) but we do have many text messages dating back to 3 years ago, is this sufficient evidence? and i have many calling cards that i spent on calling him. One last thing, i realise there is member of my family will not accept my marriage, is it possible for that person to jeopardise the visa application, by somehow informing the border agency that my fiancee is for eg a terrorist, or something just to delay him from coming here. Is there a way I can inform them that someone is unhappy with the marriage?

That unhappy person would go to great lengths to destroy someone's happiness. As soon as they hear of the marriage I am sure they will try and delay my future husband from coming to uk. Is there a way I can prevent this? Maybe let the border agency know?

What is the minimum they are looking for when it comes to supporting myself and my husband? currently I only have savings of £5000 but i am looking for work.
