Hello..

I'm wondering if somebody could help me with the following concern i have?

Myself (uk citizen) and my wife (non - eu) are wanting to apply for a spouse visa to reside in the uk (we recently got married in her country). However, the visa process takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money and i want to get a better understanding of what is involved so we can get all relevant documents to the border agency. I have no areas of concern about our relationship and providing all required documents etc. However, she overstayed her last visa in the uk. This was for no other reason than because she found it hard to leave for having friends, a life and a partner here. Obviously, she did leave (off her own accord), albeit a little late. Is this going to be an issue with the visa/entrance application? Is it going to be an automatic refusal?

Any knowledge, advice and help will be much appreciated and will help me have a clearer picture.
