Hi there! I'm sorry if there has been a similar topic on this, but i'm a bit short of time to go trawling through various posts. I have tried phoning the polish consulate in london but no one answers. I have emailed and received no reply. I am going in to the consulate in person this friday to get some answers, but perhaps someone could give me some guidance before then.

My grandfather was born in poland, and my dad and brother have successfully applied for citizenship and are now citizens. I read somewhere that if you have polish ancestry then it is a matter of confirming polish citizenship, rather than applying for it. Does this apply to me?

Secondly, what documents are required for applying for citizenship?

Thirdly, where can i find an accredited polish translator in the uk to translate my documents?

Lastly, how long will it take to process the application for citizenship? I'm hoping to get my polish passport before august 2012 - will that be possible?

I hope someone can help me out because i have been googling non stop for the past few weeks and am no closer to clarity. I'm a teacher and now on summer break, so i can actually go in to the consulate.
