Hi!

I sent my passport to home office a month ago to apply for a permanent british residence and I don't know how long it would take. Because I have to travel I asked to have it back and they sent it to me with and attached letter saying that I am able to travel but that I will have to apply for a EEA family permit in order to come back to the UK.

Can I apply for this permit from the UK or do I have to do so from abroad at the british consulate? My situations is that I was only travelling for 6 days and then come back but if issuing this permit take few weeks I am afraid of not being allow to get in to the UK on the way back. And if I am travelling with my husband I still need it or only if I'm alone?

I would appreciate some advice on this issue. Thanks!

 

but what f they have all my paperwork like marriage certificate and the proofs that my husband is living in the UK? how can I even apply from abroad if I don't have this to apply for the family permit? Someone told me that I could send them a certificated passport copy? Because if they endorse the Uk permanent residency in the passport I will have to return it or is it a separate card?, you know about this?


Thanks for your advice anyway, I'm just a bit too worried.
