I am from usa , my boyfriend is from pakistan, he use to be a visa officer in pakistan and works with the united nations, just an all around good man,we are in good standing of laws and will abide by any laws set forth to us ,we met online by fate, developed a relationship via web cam and phone calls for a year, yes we are in love , he is moving to peru for a job so we can meet and be closer together, its just difficult i think for him to just come here, maybe its not, havent really looked into it, he says we must meet first, have some proof of pics together, it would be easier for him to visit, i love this man dearly, and i think there maybe a proposal waiting for me when i visit him in peru. What should i do? Is this true about meeting for the first time, i have everything as far as proof of our conversations , phone calls , emails, gifts. This is really depressing me , not knowing which way to go , i feel if im asked to marry him , i will, cause the love is truely there.is there a lenght of time i have to stay in peru, cause i want to bring him back to the states after he completes his job in peru.advice plz
    sincerely thanx, mooney

I know nothing about US immigration so wouldn't be able to advise if he would indeed be able to get a visa for US after finishing his job in Peru but what I can tell you for sure is that you have to be very patient with it. To be frank with you, the attitude of US immigration is going to be 'You have fallen in love with the wrong man' ( needless to say because of his nationality and religion ) and you will see them apparently doing everything to not let him in.

So make yourself mentally ready for a long and depressing battle if you have decided he is your man. Sad how common people have to suffer because of bloody politics but very true.

Not that its impossible, I know at least two such couples who made it. Not sure about visit visa but the spouse visas can take upto two years to get processed ( I am saying this based on what I have seen ).Take the nightmare as a test of your feelings for each other and will be easy to get through, thats my tip !

    Good luck

Thanx for your reply yousafzai, living here in america i think we tend to be brain washed about other countries, sometimes i think we tend to live in a bubble . Growing up i was always told of bad things about other countries, when things arent soo lovely here as well. Im now 37 yrs old ,i will not let anyone dictate who i love, and as far as the timing process, ( the heart knows of no time). The love of my life is very positive in his thinking, very patient as well, he is my positive force so to speak.truely there are so many great people around the world and yes the good have to suffer for the bad, this will be worked out, im pretty head strong when it comes to something i want. Thanks again.
