    Hi everybody!

I am so happy that i found this forum. I need same information about eea family permit because i am so confused after reading the info in http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk i tried to contact the uk embassy but unfortunately they do not give any information :( so please if you know anything let me know.

I am albanian while my husband is polish. We live together in poland. My husband is going to be transfered from his actually work in poland to uk in august and we would like to go together and settled in uk. I know that i have to apply for eea family permit but i have some questions:

    1. As we want to go together to uk, can i apply before my husband goes to uk. Or he must be in uk. First ?
    2. Do we need to have an accommodation in uk. In order to get the eea family permit?

Thank you very much for your help.

1 - Yes. You can apply for EEA Family Permit before and travel together with your husband.
2 - Yes. Accomodation is one of the most important requirement.

    Good luck

Thank you yousafzai for your answer. But i still have a question. If i can apply eea family permit before my husband goes in uk. We will not be able to have an accommodation in uk. Jet? We can not have an accommodation in uk. If we still live in poland. What do you think?

You need to know that 'Accomodation' actually would mean documentary evidence showing that you have a place to live in after you arrive in UK. You can always contact estate agents who, in return for a small fee, can give you a provisional contract or some kind of confirmation that you have reserved a flat or a room for yourself which will be available to you when you arrive.

You can google it and many of them should come up. Be aware of the scammers though, there are many of them out there. Try getting a well known estate agency and rather avoid gumtree and similar sites.

    Good luck

Yousafzai, I beg to disagree with your No.2 thus and Evidently, I've seen loads of EEA Permit granted without the mention of accommodation by the ECO as its not a requirement for the purpose of initial entry.
Regulation 12a (ii) and 13 are very clear on this.

Accomodation is not the requirment under eea rules .it is needed only under immigration rules.

That's factual and precisely my point hence I've advised the OP more correctly as above.

    Yes as earlier advised.

    For requirements, See also: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ecg/eunati ... t#22134336

    Safe!

Soz Mate if you misunderstood me. I was not angry with you at all, In fact I was responding in concurrence with your post (confirming my initial advise to the OP) as against the earlier advise by Yousafzai.

Again sorry for my cross posting.
