I have been with my partner for 10years and she is a british citizen. We appiled for coa on the 3rd of march 2009 and it was granted but was valid for only 3months. We booked our marriage at the registri office but at the office the official told us that we would be getting a call from the home office as there was a slight problem but he couldnt tell us what the problem was. A few weeks later in june 09 they came to visit us at our home and asked us questions about our relationship etc as if we were sham.we were told we could not marry as they needed to confirm a few details but it has been more than 9months and they come at odd times to see if we are still together. We just want to get married. We have appealed and even went to the office and sat for 4hours but we dont know whats happening,we even went to the lawyers but they are charging us too much money. I have a work permit and she is born here. We just want to marry o. Has anyone gont through this
