I am uk citizen and my fiancee argentine. We are both in argentina and about to apply for the fiancee visa.

But i cannot find anywhere if we need to translate documets to english from spanish.

The documents i refer to and which are in spanish are:

    birth certifcate..
Her work contract (as proof of her government job)
letter from her job confirming the last few years service. (as proof again)
    her university grades
and finally, the first page of my tennancy agreement here which shows with the bills we pay, that we live together.

Please if someone could say if they are really nesaccary to translate.

Also, with the bith cert, does it need "apostille".

    Thanks in advance

    k

You need to get all the documents translated and I would suggest get them attested too but what you actually need to provide, more than the documents you have mentioned, is that

1 - You have sufficient funds for your expenses in the UK
    2 - Proof of accomodation
3 - Proof that you are going to be married within six months of your arrival in the UK
4 - Proof that you both intend to live together permanently.

Fiance visa is actually more headache than a spouse visa. If I were you, I would rather get married in Argentina and then move to UK.

    Good luck
