Hello friends I am posting this topic so people who have already applied or who plan to apply for FMRS can get some information, share views, ideas or ask questions etc. I am sharing some basic information which I am aware of below. Please add more information which you feel is relevant to this.

FMRS which is family member residence stamp is for NON-EEA/EU who are married or family member to A8 nationals of European union or you can say europeans who need to register under WRS ( Workers Registration Scheme). IF you wanna know more about WRS or if you need to register under WRS please refer to http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... k/eea/wrs/.

If you are non-eea/eu married to or family member of A8 nationals you need to apply for FMRS unless your spouse has completed 12 months unrestricted work and registered with WRS for 12 months same time. There are exceptions to registring to WRS which you can find the above link and check if your spouse or parnter needs to register with WRS or not.

Following things has to be kept in notice before you apply for FMRS:

    1) Your spouse or parnter has to register with WRS and Obtain WRS certificate and Card
    2) You need to send your passport and you spouse's passport or Identity card to apply for FMRS
    3) This is free Application
    4) You need to send EEA nationals and your and family members 2 Passport size photographs
    5) Original Marriage certificate translated in english
    6) Waiting time for this application is 6 months or more.

Above are the basic information. I am on EEA family permit and I am waiting for my wifes WRS cetificate and card before I can apply for FMRS. I need information from People who have already applied about what documents to add to application. I have following questions:-

    1) Is anyone working for a Reputed company or Organization who is on EEA family permit, IF yes what happend when u send your passport to UKBA for FMRS since the expiry date is already gone, so did you face any problem in job and how did you manage to get over it?

    2) What helps to get FMRS. Do UKBA considers your income and wifes income together or EEA nationals income is more important?

    3) What if EEA nationals income is not enough for both of you?

I hope we can share information with each other and help each other. Thanks in advance for posting you comment and your experience in advance :)
