    hiya,
hubby just received his COA (he applied for EEA4). His job contract comes to an end and he will have to go job hunting fairly soon. Anybody in the same situation - we are very worried cause the passport is with the HO and probably will be there for quite a while. Any experiences regarding job hunting with the COA only? does this work? what if not - we cannot afford for him to be out of work for several month!

    Cheers.
    Lene

If he has any other ID on him for example driving licence, that should also be sufficient as per law but Sigmai advised, taking the passport back would be more convenient because not all the employers have a clue about the immigration rules.

    Good luck

Also, employers or potential employers can call the ukba employer helpline to confirm your husband’s right to work under the COA. Good luck!
