    Hello,

I have to apply for a US visa this Thursday and leave for NY on 1 Nov. But by the time they return my passport, the Family Permit will already be expired (27 Oct), so I plan to leave UK and re-enter as a visitor before applying for the US visa.

I don't need a tourist visa to enter UK, but is it possible for me to re-enter as a visitor when my FP is still valid (for a week though)? Will they stamp the length of permission on my passport to distinguish my tourist identity, or just the day of arrival?

    Thanks for replying~!

Where will your EEA family member be at the time of your re-entry to the UK? What will they be doing (working, studying?).
