    Hiya Sister,
Wow!! This is good news for you. Well in my humble opinion, it may mean they are processing your application at the moment which is why they issued that of your partner.
It doesn't mean anything negative, rather very positive.
As far as am aware and most times they issue the EU spouses first, then their non-EU family member subsequently.
Hope you get yours soon. Peace!

    Hiya,
Well I don't know a lot about the procedures as regards to the route to British citizenship. However, much as I know, I presume a child may have automatic citizenship if born in UK and if both or One of the parents is settled in the UK. (which seem to be your husband's case).

From the UKBA, It states thus:

    Automatic acquisition of British citizenship
Children who have automatically acquired British citizenship do not need to be registered.
There are two ways a child can automatically be a British citizen without needing to
    register.
1 British citizenship otherwise than by descent
A child born in the UK to parents one or both of whom are
    • British citizens, or
    • are settled in the UK at the time the child is born
is automatically a British citizen otherwise than by descent and does not need to be
    registered.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello

My husband applied for a residency card on 28/02/09. We've been asked to send back his passport as well as my recent payslips three weeks ago. When I called the Home Office to ask for the status of the application, they said that a decision has been taken and that the documents will be returned in a couple of weeks time, has anybody been there yet and how long will we have to wait? Can we expect something soon or are we expecting more delays?
    Thanks

Wow!! That's some good news for you. I think you should expect your documents pretty soon since they said a decision has been reached.
Its been a long huddle for every RC applicants.
    All the best, Mate!

i hav my friend form holland whos hav a americain citizen, and applied for a RC about 1 year now.
    1) the dutch partner was working when applied and the received a C.O.A for the partner.
2)last month the H.O requested a payslip for the partners, but in vain, she is pregnant, not working in the monent so could not provide payslip.
3)the americain partner is working with the C.O.A
    4) and today she received a lettre from the H.O saying the partner should leave the U.K and go bak to the U.S withing 28 days and no appel will be considered.

I think am a bit confused here. The EU partner is the Man? and the American the Woman?

Is the EU Partner (The Man) working/self employed? If NO then when did he stop working?

Pls clarify on these questions and I shall attempt to answer to the best of my knowledge.

    Hi
the EU partner is the female, and she stopped working about 5 mths bcos she is pregnant about 7 mths now. And the Male partner is a U.S citizent who is working with the COA received from the H.O received after they applied about 1 year ago. The HO requested a pays slip from the EU partner, as I said she could not bcos no job due to the pregnacy. Did u got the point. Thanx

Well i'd think that the EU Partner is still exercising treaty right by virtue of the pregnancy if she didn't quit her job and was only granted a maternity leave. In which case she would still be part of her company and would still be receiving her payslips for the maternity pay.
Did she quit her Job or was just granted maternity leave?
