    Hi All,
I would be grateful if anyone could reply to me about changing jobs while FMRS is already submitted, Basicly I am EU husband of Non EU wife, she has already applied for her FMRS application three months ago, we have already recieved the certificate of application, Now I am leaving my job to a better one, So the question is Does that affect badly on my wife's aplication. What we should do in such a situation? I heard that changing my job during my wife's application will lead to her refusal Is that right? Is there anyone who had the same situation? Thank you all

Hi there. I understand your post is a pretty old but I would be very grateful if you can reply to couple of my questions. I am at the minute in the same life situation. Have you guys received FMPS? If yes was it issued from the dates your wife’s visa expired? Or from the moment it was given? I have applied for my FMPS in November 08 and still waiting… Couple days ago I have renewed request of COA, well it is obvious that after half a year nobody is going to accept old one. Did anyone reply for your post regarding job changing? My husband had changed his job around month before the full year was completed and I am afraid it could affect my application as well ;-( Have you tried to complain somewhere about waiting time? Do you have friends with similar experience? Looking forward for hearing from you… Thanks a lot!!!

Anastasiia, FMRS applications take long time to be processed now by the UK Border agency it could be 10 or 12 months and of course may be shorter and as a result it would be valid just for a few months and as non eu spouse has to reapply for EEA2 for a residence card, but druing the processing of your FMRS if your eu spouse change the job u need to tell the WRS and get new certificate with the new employer within no more than a month from starting new job once u get that certificate u should update u r FMRS application by sendind a covering letter explaining the changes and providing them with the new certificate and that will not affect u r application.
Another important thing if the eu spouse reach 12 months continious employmet and the non eu spouse FMRS application is still pending so you write a reminder letter to the FMRS application telling them to treat your FMRS application as it is EEA2 as your eu spouse completed the 12 months continious employment under the WRS so they must issue a residence card in that case vaild for 5 years.
Once the eu spouse completed the 12 months working so they can apply for EEA1 in person in Croydon and get the registration certificate in the same day but you need to book an appointment earlier for that.

Remember your EU spouse must re register with the WRS if they change jobs and within no more than 30 days.
Hope you the best of luck
