Hello everyone! I'm new here at the forum, but have made lots of research with no luck before posting my question.

I'm married to an italian citizen, we're living in Britain for two months now and I'm about to make my EEA2 application. My wife is working for a month and something, and we have a letter from the employer confirming her position and salary, but she wants to quit that job and look for another.

    So, the question is:

Will be my EEA2 application be affected if my wife changes jobs after I send the forms to he Home Office?

Well, I've learned here that the biggest issue is that the HO wants to check if she can support me whilst we're settling here, and that they may ask us to send her latest payslips later to confirm she is still employed.

But isn't it risk to send the application with a job that is about to be left? Should my wife stay there for a longer time? How long?

Thank you very much for any response!

My suggestion is that your wife should 1st get a new job, wait for her 1st payslip and then send your application to the HO with a letter from the new employer.

I sent my application in October last year (2008) and am still waiting for it.
They obviously have a massive backlog of applications to deal with so I think by the time they get to yours your wife would have left her job a long time ago and if they check they might not be happy with this.

    Good luck.

Thanks for your reply, but I decided to apply even if my wife would change jobs, what she actually did, because I researched in another forum that the main concern from the Home Office is that if she is receiving benefits. I could even apply if she was only looking for a job, so I thought that change wouldn't be a problem at all... I just wish I don't have to wait all that long!!
