    Hi,
I am a non eu spouse staying in Greece. My visa has already expired but I am still here with my Bebaiosi( blue paper) which means I have already applied for residence permit and submitted documents but still in process. My question is we would like to travel to Austria since my husband is austrian, am I allowed to travel using only this Bebaiosi Permit? Will the Immigration in Austria hold me?
    Please help me...

    Thanks

I would reccomend against travelling. They specifically say do not make any non-urgent travel arrangments until they have made a decision

In theory you can travel, but both getting into Austria and getting back into the UK can be difficult if you are a visa national (and getting on the aircraft, too). You would need the certificate of application, proof of your relationship, proof of residence in the UK, and proof that your spouse is working or exercising treaty rights. With that and a good amount of persistence, you should be fine, but it is a bit risky.

This is what I've got from Home Office by email:

    Dear Sir,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be advised that your wife will not be allowed entry in to the UK
on her expired FMRS. She will need to apply for EEA Family Permit at the
nearest British Diplomatic Post (the High Commission, Embassy or
Consulate) overseas before she travel back to the UK. British Diplomatic
Post provides a priority service for EEA and their non-EEA family
    members.

Meaning you need to get EEA family permit to travel while your EEA2 application is being processed. Therefore, we're going to Paris in few weeks :)

Received my wife's "Certificate of Application" a while after submitting and decided to call in. They pretty much told me on the phone that her EEA2 will be processed sometime "after" 6 months.

She needs to go to Thailand (her home-country) for 5 weeks in June this year. I don't know if she would risk coming back in and trying to re-enter the UK with the COA and Marriage Certificate, which may not work, since her student visa expires this month...

Does anyone know how much the EEA Family Permit costs for an already married spouse of an EU citizen? And how long does it take?
Should it be free under EU rights?

For example, she will go to Thailand and go to the UK Embassy there to show the COA and get it or something.

Or can she apply before she goes?

    THANKS!

    Alexandros
