Hi all. Was wondering if anyone has any advice or has been in a similar situation.
My girlfriend from Bolivia was studying here in England when we met and we have been together for 3 years, but last January her student visa application was denied due to a technical issue with the school changing names and so it appeared as though the school wasnt registered. She appealed against this but was unsuccessful and went back to Bolivia in November. During her appeal she continued working as her solicitor advised she could carry on as normal, but the Home Office later told her she had been working illegally.
We now plan to get married but aren't sure if the best option is a fiancee visa for her to come back and marry or for us to marry when I am there on holiday in February. We are also unsure if the denied student visa or her working without the visa could impact the application. Does anyone have any idea? And does anyone know if a marriage in Bolivia is recognised in England?
