How long have you been married for? Are you an US Citizen and your husband is teh UK citizen?
Do you think it will work the same as for a fiance/proposedcivil union visa?

Hi,
I am a US citizen and my boyfriend lives in UK. We want to get married and live in UK. I heard that the Fiance visa can take at least 6 months to process and get approved, before I can even go there and marry him.

Now I'm hearing more and more about the Spousal Visa. How do I go about doing this? And how long will this visa take?

I agreed with jmarris. I would like to share my experience as well. I am Indonesian and I married to a British. We married on Oct 22 in Bali, Indonesia. We applied for my settlement visa on Oct 30 at British Embassy Jakarta, Indonesia. I got a call on Nov 3 from the Embassy asking me to go there for an interview on the next day (Nov 4) and I went there for an interview and they collect my biometrics as well and then they GRANTED my visa on the same day (Nov 4). I was surprised bcos I never thought it could be so smooth and fast. In total it was done in 3 working days! (excluded weekend). So as long as you can provide all the necessary documents then it should be ok! Good luck!
