My father was born legitimately in England to British parents. He moved to Canada when he was a child and I was born legitimately to him in Canada.

I would like to make a permanent move to England next summer.

How do I go about obtaining my British citizenship? I am eligible for a British passport and have all the documentation. Will obtaining my passport make me a citizen and therefore eligible to work in England?

I have read and re-read the British Home Office website over and over and can't make heads or tails of it.
