    Hello all,

First i would like to thank everyone who contributes to make life simpler to all.

I hold a UK Residence Card of a family member of an EEA National. I am a Somali National where there is no government nor Embassy anywhere in the world.
I would like to know how many years of marriage should i be to qualify for a Polish Passport?
    Thank you all.

To be married to a Polish citizen does not mean that you qualify for a Polish passport unless you are married for more than 3 years and reside permanently in Poland. If you reside outside Poland you can not apply for Polish citizenship simply because you are married.

According to Art. 3, 1 of the Polish Citizenship Act of 1962 " Marriage of a Polish citizen with a person who is not a Polish citizen does not affect the citizenship of either of husband or wife."

In Art 10 it says "1. A foreigner who was granted residency permit on Polish territory, and who remains married with a Polish citizen at least for 3 years, acquires Polish citizenship if submits, within the term indicated in item 1a, declaration to a relevant authority and that authority issues a decision accepting such declaration.

1a. Term for submission of the statement indicated in item 1, is 6 months from the date when a foreigner received the residency permit, or 3 years and 6 months from the date of marriage with Polish citizen.

    2. The acceptance of the declaration may depend on submitting evidence of loss of or exemption from foreign citizenship."

Hi, you said "To be married to a Polish citizen does not mean that you qualify for a Polish passport unless you are married for more than 3 years and reside permanently in Poland".

The three year scale period for marriage is fine which I also see in the link you provided and also have read in another posts but where does it say marry and reside permenantly in Poland, then you are eligible for citizenship.
