    I'm a South African who has lived in London, England for almost 5 years. I've been married to my Hungarian wife for just over 2 years. We've been thinking about this for a while, but next year we might make the move to Hungary.

    How is the job market there though? I currently work in IT, specialising in networking (CCNP level) My Hungarian is extremely limited (Trust me, it's difficult)

    Anyone have any experience working in Hungary as an English speaker? What is the market like and how are the wages? These are all things we need to weigh up before we make the big descision. Any info is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Well first of all I am happy that you too have a hungarian wife. my wife is also from hungary. Well to be honest to you i just dont knwo why you wish to move to hungary now after 5 years?

    I left uk to stay in hungary in 2006 but i have to come back to the uk because there they speak HUNGARIAN AND GERMAN. for me ( i am indian ) it was not hard but impossible to find a job there. I am well educated etc. They all asked me one question DO I KNOW HUNGARIAN and when i said no their answer was Sorry.

    other thing their money value is less than the UK. So i dont think it will be a wise idea to go there for good.

    Hungary is a very beautiful country and i love to be there but the circumstances made me to left hungary and shifted to the UK. i visit hungary every year.

    May be you can try budapest.

    Hungary is the beautiful place to settle down. :lol: If you live there, you will be happy for ever. :lol:
