    Hi,
I'm german citizen and my wife non european applied for a residence card in October 2007. We got today a letter from the Home office that our EEA2 application needs further documents.
They asked for evidence of excersing treaty rights in the UK.
As I'am a student and I have already sent my Bank statements with the EEA2 form, I'm not sure what I have to send them.
Do they ask me to fill the EEA1 form?
    Help appreciated...
    thanks,
    fastom

Studying is a treaty right, so you should send evidence that you are registered as a full time student.

That may be a good idea, but it is not necessary. The checks have to be done anyway, and if you fill in the form, you get a "fancy" "registration certificate".

Thats what I thought as well...
A letter from my university would be sufficient...
However, we sent all letters include a prove of my enrolment to the Home office but it seems not accepted...
    cheers

They may want to see sufficient funds. However, it seems like the processing of European applications is even more chaotic than usual since it all moved to Liverpool. So just send them whatever you think may be useful, and then hope for the best :)

    Thanks Tom,
I have filled the EEA1 form and we are going to send a folder of documents with it.
Our concern is the length now, as we have waited already almost 6 month we are not sure how long it will take to hear from them again...
    cheers...

The decision should be made reasonable soon now (within a week or two). However, it seems that the actual issuing of the residence card may take several weeks, because it is done in Croydon. So don't expect any miracles.
