My polish wife registered as a worker last year october, but unfortunately she's been out of work for a month now which means we have to start counting our 12months again.Funny though, but really crazy!!!the thing is i have a job worth £24000 per annum with other incredible benefits like free travel and the rest.does this qualify you as being self sufficient?and can we apply immediately for our residence card as she is currently depending on me and we are also thinking about starting a family? Is there a way out from this?

What is your nationality? I have to say that I am not really familiar with the WRS, but I know it is complicated.

Now, if you had a pile of money in the bank, I think the application as self sufficient would be successful. However, because the income is based on your work, I am not sure that would work.

Why doesn't she just register again with the WRS? It is just for another 12 months.

I am a Nigerian and thanks for the reply. Its good that i know its not possible to support someone on your income, even though the immigration as not stated themselves how much someone needs to have to support "someone".I think we will again go for the WRS as soon as she gets a job,i just wanted the short way out since the rules says "a Non-EU spouse of EU can support them if they work themselves".
