    A marriage was been held 4 years ago between a Eu and non Eu national. We have been living in he uk for a bit less than a year. we are planning to divorce. Would any body please let me know what documents are needed to retain the right of residence under uk law? Also, we had to be living in the uk for one year, how does this year calculated? from first time a 6 month visa was issued or from first entry to uk or from when?the marriage was held in the EU state and not in the UK.
    Would any body help please?

    The main requirement is that you have lived together in the UK for one full year. Theoretically the time of separation also counts, but that would make a very weak case. So you need evidence of cohabitation, in addition to the documents you would produce for EEA2. And of course you need the divorce certificate.

    You should also keep in mind that a divorce in England is a very long process. You may also be able to file a divorce in your home country.

    Hello,
    as I am not living in UK, but I have Registration Certificate.
    I would like to ask, whom and where I should inform (as home office or something like this) that I am not living in the UK. Can I do that in UK Embassy?
