I have been offered a position to work for 2 years for a large corporate US lawfirm at their Frankfurt, Germany office. I only have two years experience and the recruiter said they would probably offer 45K-50K US Dollars. I would be paid through the firm's NY office in Dollars and not Euros. Does anyone have any idea why they want an american working in their german office (they speak english in the office). Does anyone know how many Euros the average german paralegal makes in Frankfurt, Germany? Do they want to hire me because it would be cheaper to higher an american? How much money should I ask for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
even with the weak dollar it should not affect you too much that you are going to be paid in dollars...If you are paid $45-50K....£24K is pretty standard for paralegals in big london city firms so convert that to Euros you should be ok....Although I wouldnt worry about the money so much, if you wanted to be rich you wouldnt be a paralegal, think of the experience..
