    Hi
    My Boyfriend is Irish and I'm Australian we met 2 1/2 years ago in Ireland while I was on a working holiday visa. He has been in Australia for nearly 2 years and we have decided to move to Ireland. WE don't know what visa to apply for and how hard will it be as we won't be married. If any one could help that would be great.

    Ireland does not recognize unmarried partners.
    You can try:
    Student visa,work permit.

    The Netherlands do.

    You are most welcome here.

    No visa needed and the verification against EU law can be arranged after you arrive.

    Thanks for that. I mentioned the Netherlands to my boyfriend and we are considering moving there if we are unable to go to Ireland. So I don't need a visa is that right. What do we have to do when we get to the Netherlands?
